The Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research was founded twenty years ago as a venue to facilitate collaboration between scholars in the Nordic countries and at Stanford University working in the area of organization studies. Over the past twenty years, more than 450 scholars have visited Scancor to conduct research, produce books, articles, and dissertations, attend seminars, and organize conferences. Under the caption "Kindred spirits - developing ideas to catch and release" SCANCOR organizes an anniversary conference on November 21-23, 2008. |

Nordic Network for Healthcare Management Research (NOHR)Why a Nordic network for research on the organization and management of helathcare? - Healthcare has become increasingly important in national and international politics, equally so in welfare state ”modelling”
- Recently, there has been an active period of reform and change; this activity has reinvigorated the theoretical and analytical approaches made by researchers - more perspectives and methods are used
- There is a need for exchange of research results and findings, as well as exchange of theoretical perspectives - learning from each others ’ experiences seems important
What are the purposes of such a network? - To arrange annual meetings for researchers and students that take an interest in Nordic health management and organization
- To exchange information, and make research available through NOHRnet.org
- To develop comparative research and encourage cross-disciplinary work
We invite you all to participate in the further development of the network! Further information about NOHRnet |
